my approach
👋 Hello!
I’m Secil. I’m a Milan based UX/UI Designer experienced in data oriented B2B products. I support cross functional teams to take data driven design decisions, evangelising Design Thinking methods while solving complex problems.
My experience
Over the last 4 years I have worked on data oriented B2B products in Fintech and Insurtech environment. As being the only designer in these experiences, I handled the whole design process starting from UX Research until implementation and tracking with UX metrics. I work across cross functional teams, evangelising design thinking approach and managing complex user flows. I have worked on products that involve multiple types of stakeholders and developed a solid understanding of design thinking methods; I have interviewed more than 100 users throughout my career just to give an example.
My approach
I follow the Double Diamond method when I’m in charge of a project.
Research
I use and give create visibility in organisations towards Design Thinking methods. I involve all the stakeholders, including developers, since start of the process. The research activities I carry out are:
Semi structured and structured interviews
Facilitating Design Thinking workshops with various stakeholders
Other methodologies that involve stakeholders’ individual work and analysis of output
Iterations
After analysing the design research, I focus on solutions that align with business needs. I demonstrate these solutions in both low and high fidelity mockups using Figma, and validate design decisions through usability tests. I’m a seasoned designer in conducting both in person and remote usability tests with a high amount of users.
Implementation
I work closely with developers thorugout the implementation and involve them in the process as early as possible. I ensure that the consistency of the components within the design system is ensured.
Analysis
After the production phase, I analyse the user behavior by using analytics tools, to observe if the design aligns with the metrics and make further iterations. I have experience with tools such as Hotjar, Amplitude, Google Analytics and Maze.
